Part of the purpose, no, the whole purpose of this book, is to make sure that we all know who it really is and what Satan’s goal is in making our lives feel like there is no God. Satan wants for us to feel like God does not care at all if we live, die, get sick, or hit the lottery. The fact of the matter is that He does exist, and He does care what’s going on in our hearts and in our lives.
All of this sounds very judgmental of me when it comes to you and your relationship with God, but I don’t mean for it to be. What I actually mean is that during hard times, it’s difficult to be faithful and trust God when things seem like they can’t get any worse.
We all get angry sometimes, but there are opportunities available to good Christians that aren’t available during more bountiful times, like making right and Godly choices under extreme stress. During these times, we can make or break our Christian walk, and that is just what Satan is counting on.
Enter Satan, the world’s greatest psychiatrist. Satan’s main battlefield is in the minds and the hearts of you and I and every person who is in need. Some of us today are in desperate need, and we need God’s help. However, sometimes it doesn’t seem to come.
Before you know it, we are saying awful things about our father in Heaven while Satan receives none of the blame. This joker cracks up every time we get mad or curse at God for not fixing our problems.
Satan uses tactics to destroy your faith in God, and that is what we are talking about essentially. When your life seems to be coming unglued at the seams, you can bet Satan has had plenty to do with it. More than anything, Satan wants you to blame God directly for the problems you are facing and for not pulling your own rear end out of the fire.
I speak from experience, my friends. Satan wants you to question the things you know are true about God. He wants you to think and over think and over analyze until you have worked yourself into a frenzy of uncertainty.
As I said, he is a master psychiatrist. He gets a room of people together, and he, along with his followers, will work on the minds and the thought processes of your brothers and sisters in Christ.
Until you change your belief system, Satan will pester you mentally until you begin to challenge the truth as you have always known it.
What you need to do is know your Bible. If you read the first book in this series about breaking down the walls that stand between you and your ability to at least see Heaven, you will remember a chapter that refers to Putting on the Full Armor of God. It’s essential to be certain of the truth of God’s Word so that when Satan attacks, you will be ready for it.
The reality of what is going on is that he begins to work his deceit on your mind and heart. You are under attack from the dark angel. Satan is a cunning foe and capable of introducing any thought into your head.
Murder, deceit, lying, stealing, etc.—He knows if he attacks you long enough, he will find a weakness and then go after it vigorously. You have to expect that it is coming.
When your life is coming apart, don’t get mad at God. He has His principles listed in the Bible, and you can get His best by living right and praying for His intervention.
He expects you to work for it, though. Just because you are 32 days late on the house payment and there is no income in sight, don’t tell God, ”Well you didn’t come through so now we are going to do this my way.” No, don’t do that.
