I Got Everything I Need?, Conclusion

Lovenotes from Above: Breaking down the walls to Heaven"

and "What would Satan do"?

While it’s true that 5 million each (about 2.5 million after taxes) will buy a lot of things and maybe even guarantee some kind of a future, it is also true that God is watching to see that "His" money is distributed in a good way. That is to say that God is watching to see if Virgil and Bubba are going to be good stewards of his wealth.

The Bible says “’Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.’” (Malachi 3:10, NIV)

Just in case it isn’t clear to any of you tithe-o-phobes, this chapter is not about tithing. It’s about needing God as much as ever even though it looks as though you have this whole life thing beat.

Just because you won the lottery or something else equally as liberating, doesn’t mean that you don’t need God anymore. This is one of Satan’s tricks that he uses to keep the rich and famous from getting to know God.

There will always be things that are attainable here on earth that will lead you to believe you can do it on your own, but once you lose the backing and support of almighty God, it is only a matter of time before you fall at some level.

How many movie stars do you hear fighting to protect God’s Word in Hollywood? “Thou shalt not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of our Lord.” (Matthew 4:4, NIV)

Don’t think that just because you have attained your full serving of bread that you can do without Him. You are always going to need some gravy to go with that bread, and then you’ll need a glass of water to wash it down with. See what I am saying?

You will always be one thing shy of having it all if you don’t have Jesus Christ in your life. We all need the Lord for our own personal reasons. The truth is that there is not a one of us who can be happy in life without Him or make it to Heaven without Him either.

Trust me brother, you will have your fall, and then you will cry out in your need. Don’t have an empty basket with nothing to pull from. Know God’s word, and you will always have a full breadbasket with plenty of extra to share with your friends and family....God Bless, David
